DIR/Floortime Intervention & Parent Coaching (12 week program)
Are you a parent of a child that struggles with social skills, emotional regulation, or sensory processing? Are you constantly hearing bad news about your child from their teacher about their “bad behavior”? Can you understand the tantrums and meltdowns that are happening with your child? Is the therapy approach you’re doing now supporting your child emotionally and developmentally through a respectful relationship? Do you feel lost with a newly diagnosed “AUTISM”? Parents don’t give up, I got your back! DIRFloortime is used to help children of emotional, sensory, regulatory, motor, learning, and developmental challenges. It can empower parents and their children by becoming the best version of themselves.
DIRFloortime is recognized as a leading evidence-based approach to helping individuals on the autism spectrum and others with neurodevelopmental differences flourish. With this holistic therapeutic approach, parents become more confident in understanding and helping their child.
What do I offer?
- 12-week program to implement floortime
- A DIRFloortime Assessment /Evaluation to determine a child's strengths and weaknesses.
- A customized developmental plan based on the assessment
- Early intervention
- 1on1 at-home DIR/Floortime Play-based individualized intervention that Promotes the child's development in cognitive, language, social-emotional, gross, fine motor, and adaptive skills.
- Weekly Parent coaching to support your child's development
- Strategies to help developmental growth and tailor interactions to their unique challenges, strengths, and interests. Sessions also incorporate support for addressing challenging behavior, difficulties with daily transitions, and other concerns that impact daily activities at home and school.
- Feedback on videos recorded during your interaction with the child.
- Support babysitters, grandparents, and other family members who care for or regularly interact with your child.
